Jhoniq Lentsch is the Marketing and Communications Manager at The Educator Collective, where she leads the organization’s storytelling. Through social media, newsletters, the website, and more, she shares the impact of educators at every level, from teachers to principals to district leaders, who are at the heart of TEC’s work.

She began her career as a Community Health Worker, supporting individuals and families in her community. She went on to spend six years at the University of New Mexico in a department dedicated to building the statewide Community Health Worker workforce, where she earned four promotions and ultimately served as Associate Director of Special Projects. Along the way, she directed bilingual learning programs for health professionals, led digital engagement strategy, and was honored with UNM’s Women’s History Month Excellence Award in 2024. Her roots in direct community work taught her that people do their best work when they feel seen and supported, a belief that drives how she tells the stories of educators today.

Jhoniq holds a Master of Science in Project Management and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of New Mexico.

Originally from New Mexico, Jhoniq is a proud mom of two kids and two dogs. Her family loves spending time outdoors, whether they’re taking walks or exploring new places together.
