Rochelle Taylor
Associate, Programs
Rochelle graduated from the University of Central Florida with a degree in Event Management before spending several years in event planning and nonprofit work. She then made the leap into education, becoming a classroom teacher for five years. It was there she saw up close how much a teacher's day-to-day experience shapes what's possible for their students. When teachers feel depleted, everyone feels it — and when they feel supported, that shows up in the classroom too. That realization eventually pulled her back toward event work, this time in service of the people who'd once been her colleagues. As Program Associate with The Educator Collective, Rochelle helps bring the Well-Being Series to life, supporting monthly gatherings where teachers can slow down, connect with one another, and be reminded that someone sees the work they're doing. She also lends her planning skills to events across the organization, making sure each one gives educators room to breathe, learn, and feel genuinely cared for. Having stood at the front of a classroom herself, she brings a teacher's-eye view to every detail — because she knows exactly what it feels like on the other side of a long day.Outside of work, you can find Rochelle walking and biking White Rock Lake with her dog, Avo.
