Development Manager

Dylan is the Development Manager at The Educator Collective, where she works to drive philanthropic efforts that support educators and school leaders across North Texas.
Dylan began her career in education through Teach for America, teaching reading and language arts at a middle school in the Pleasant Grove neighborhood of Dallas. She went on to serve as an instructional coach at a campus in Oak Cliff, where she led IB implementation and coached the reading department. Under her leadership, the department saw significant gains in STAAR scores and earned its first "A" departmental rating. She was also part of the leadership team that helped the school achieve its first ever "A" rating from the Texas Education Agency.
After six years working at the campus level, Dylan brought her classroom and coaching experience into the philanthropic sector, where she now leverages her background in education and journalism to connect resources to districts and school teams working to ensure educators can grow, stay, and lead lasting change.
Dylan holds a B.A. in Journalism from Mercer University and an M.S.Ed. in Educational Studies from Johns Hopkins University. She believes that every child, no matter what zip code they live in, should have access to a high-quality education and Dylan believes that thriving schools start with supported educators and strong leaders. These beliefs drive her work every day.
Outside of the office, you can find her at Dallas happy hours and brunches, traveling, taking cycle classes, watching reality TV, or finding any excuse to go shopping.
