In this quick and fun 90-minute session, you will learn the basics of Canva for Education, including how to navigate the Canva homepage, locate templates, create folders, import resources, share activities, and provide real-time feedback. Join us to gain practical application tips on how to use Canva in your classroom. Session also includes Q&A with a Canva expert.
*IMPORTANT: Please ensure that you have setup your Canva for Education verified teacher’s account at least 72 hours before the session begins. In order to be granted an account if your district is not already a Canva for Education district, you will need to use a valid K-12 district email address when you go to www.canva.com/education and click the purple “Get Verified” button to get started.

Then Canva 201 : Design Essentials for Educators is for you!
If you have completed Canva 101 on January 11th or can complete all of the following, you are ready for Canva 201: Login to Canva | Find all of your previous Canva projects and sort projects. | Add new folders in the Projects tab. | Import other resources from other sources to Canva including PDFs, images, slides, etc. | Search and use the filters to find Canva templates to get started. | Know how to rename your design. | Search and filter Canva’s design elements (images, videos, audio, graphics, etc.) to add in the Canva editor | Add and edit text.
This 90-minute hands-on workshop will give you the opportunity to explore the template library, dive deeper into the Canva editor to learn tips and tricks to save you time and empower you to create in Canva. *****You will have embedded design time, so please come with a project idea in mind! We will close this session with a virtual gallery walk and a friendly competition for a prize! Time for Q&A with a Canva expert is included.
