Our Story

Early-career teachers need a space
for community, leadership and
professional growth.

Teaching is the most important job in the world.  It is also one of the hardest jobs in the world.  And at no point is it harder than in the earliest years of a teacher’s career.  TEC was created to ensure that teachers in Dallas ISD are given every resource needed to persevere through these difficult years and go on to build lasting and accomplished careers in public education.

TEC was founded by two finance professionals whose experience in young professional organizations helped them identify the need for a similar space built exclusively for early-career educators. TEC is structured like these organizations – a member’s-only platform for teachers to grow their network, expand their skillset, and become leaders in the community.

Today the organization partners with over 75 educators from 7 different Dallas ISD schools.

TEC has provided opportunities to help me grow professionally through specific workshops and personally by facilitating a space to strengthen ties with my colleagues. They recognize the value in my work as a professional in education – this has been a determining factor in my commitment to the field.
