As September draws to a close, TEC knows that educators are entering a particularly stressful time of year, and as always we are here to help you through it. To that end, check out a message from our new Executive Director, Courtney Rogers, as she shares a few ways The Educator Collective is empowering members to focus on their personal health and wellbeing over the next two months.
Weekend Workout @ Klyde Warren Park
Although three out of our four Educator Wellbeing events are fully booked, we still have spots available for our Weekend Workout! Come work up a sweat with TEC on Saturday, October 12 with a private instructor from SESSION Pilates on the lawn at Klyde Warren Park. We’ll have a post-workout social with fresh pressed juices and snacks from The GEM Juice Bar and plenty of time to mingle with fellow educators!
An Educator’s Guide to Exercise
Check out our Educator Wellbeing edition of The Journal this month as TEC member Kolbe Ricks writes on the effects that running and group fitness have had on her social, emotional, mental and physical health. She shares with us the how’s and why’s of exercise and some simple fitness moves educators can squeeze into their typical workday.
The Journal is a place where teachers can openly share ideas, opinions, and best practices, and we would love for you to join the conversation. If you are interested in contributing, please contact us firstname.lastname@example.org today!
